Ganderbal, May 28 (KNO): Non-availability of public transport in evening hours is causing immense hardship to people in several villages of Ganderbal district, locals complained on Saturday. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), hundreds of commuters, mostly office-goers, students and employees are seen stranded on roads during evening hours. Locals said that people from different villages including Kangan, Wussan, Manigam, Kullan, Gund and other areas are facing immense problems due to the lack of public transport service in the evening hours for the last one week in the district. They added that they have been arriving home late for the last several days due to unavailability of transport. “Public transport disappears here after 5:30 PM. The administration must look into this issue because not everyone has their own car," Inayat Ahmad, a commuter said. Locals appealed to the higher authorities to look into the matter so that they could heave a sigh of relief. When we contacted ARTO Ganderbal, Wajahat Qayoom assured that he would look into the matter—(KNO)
